PRODUCT REVIEW: SKINSTITUT - HIGHLY EFFECTIVE, YET SUPER AFFORDABLE COSMECEUTICAL SKINCARE PRODUCTS YOU MUST TRY

Image
I have previously talked about the Australian brand Skinstitut, and today I am very excited to be putting some further products from heir large range to the test… Skinstitut is an Australian cosmeceutical skincare range using premium, potent and cutting edge cosmical grade ingredients based on proven blends of AHA’s, Retinoids, Vitamin C, Peptides, Antioxidants and SPF technology. And what I really love, is that the cruelty free company also believes that high-end skincare should be accessible to everyone, and consequently their products are priced around 50% less than other comparative brands, with all products having a recommended retail price of $49 or less, and you can frequently find great offers on various online beauty shopping sites too, such as Active Skin , RY and Facial Co , so just how amazing is that! Now, let’s talk about the products I’ve put to the test; Skinstitut Glycolic Cleanser 12%*  Skinstitut Glycolic Scrub 14%*  Skinstitut Enzymatic Micro Peel*  Skinstitut

PRODUCT REVIEW // ESK EVIDENCE ULTIMATE A+ NIGHT CREAM

Image
For the past few months I’ve been loving the Australian cosmeceutical brand  ESK Evidence Skincare   - their cruelty free products are created by doctors and dermatologists, using evidence-based and scientific ingredients to fight the signs of ageing and repair and protect the skin from the effects of a harsh environment. I talked about a full skincare regimen a little while ago, which was completely tailored to my skin type, needs and concerns (you can read more about it here ), but today I am going to talk a little more about their Ultimate A+... The  ESK Evidence Skincare   Ultimate A+* is a night cream, which contains retinal to help fight the signs of ageing, including hyper pigmentation, lines, wrinkles and skin elasticity, while also promoting collagen growth, combating acne and rosacea, and improving skin texture. Vitamin A is THE ingredients that I have found to be most efficient at both fighting the signs of ageing and reducing pigmentation on my ageing skin, while also help

PRODUCT REVIEW // JEUNIFIQUE REJUVI-NITE SERUM (SPONSORED)

Today I am going to talk about an Australian brand I’ve only recently come across,  Jeunifique . The brand makes products using sustainably-sourced, cruelty-free whole botanicals, free from sulphates, parabens, lanolin, mineral oil, SLS, and artificial colours and fragrances.  I have put the Jeunifique Rejuvi-Nite Serum * to the test. It is designed for all skin types including dry, normal and acne-prone skin types, showing signs of ageing, loss of elasticity or dullness to help detoxify, nourish, hydrate and boost the skin’s own immunity, while reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and soothing inflammation, for a more glowing youthful skin. It is made using potent botanical actives , and key ingredients including; Vitamin A in a 0.2% concentration to help firm and revitalise the skin, and reduce skin pigmentation for a more even and brighter skin tone Vitamin B3 (niacinamide) to help the skin retain hydration, and increase skin elasticity  Vitamin B5 to deeply hydrate and a

PRODUCT REVIEW: R-RETINOATE DAY AND NIGHT EYE SERUM FROM MEDIK8 - POWERFUL FORMULA FOR DRAMATIC RESULTS

Image
If you regularly tune stop by my little blog or my instagram page, you’re probably well aware how addicted I am to using Retinol as I simply find it is the one ingredient that works wonders for both my ageing skin as well as my breakouts. But I have never actually tried a retinol eye cream, until Medik8’s latest launch, r-Retinoate Day & Night Eye Serum* landed on my desk.  In 2016, Medik8 introduced a new encapsulated vitamin A molecule to the market – retinyl retinoate, a hybrid of traditional retinol and clinical strength retinoic acid that’s 8 times more powerful than retinol, and now the r-Retinoate Day & Night Eye Serum is added to the range.  The r-Retinoate Day & Night Eye Serum contains the following key ingredients; Retinyl Retionate to stimulate collagen synthesis and supports the regeneration of skin cells  Hesperidin - to improve blood circulation and strengthen capillary walls for brighter under eyes  Caffeine - to revitalise and help reduce the size of blood

PRODUCT REVIEW: MEDIK8 CRYSTAL RETINAL 10 - ULTRA STRENGTH VITAMIN A FOR YOUNGER LOOKING SKIN WITH LESS BREAKOUTS AND PIGMENTATION

Image
You guys probably know by now how much I love, or should I say, addicted to Vitamin products I am, when a bottle of the Medik8 Crystal Retinal 10* landed on my desk, I couldn’t wait to try. I have started from the ‘ground’ up, as you should with retinol, to get the skin used to it, and used all lower strengths of the Medik8 retinols, and let me say, they’re all incredible, regardless of the ‘level’ you’re at. The Medik8 Crystal Retinal is made with retinaldehyde, a super-charged derivative of vitamin A, that works with the skin to enhance collagen production and speed up cellular turnover. All vitamin A needs to be converted to retinoid acid before it can take effect by the skin, and essentially, the fewer conversions the product need to make to reach that level, the more effective and the quicker it start working. It needs to go through these stages; Retinol → Retinaldehyde → Retinoic Acid That also means that Retinoic Acid has been clinically proven to work faster than retinol, at fo

PRODUCT REVIEW: PAULA'S CHOICE 1% RETINOL BOOSTER, PORE REFINING TREATMENT 2% BHA, YOUTH-EXTENDING DAILY HYDRATING FLUID AND PERFECT CLEANSING OIL

One of those brands you always hear a lot about is Paula’s Choice… The brand is founded by the Paula Begoun, who is also the author of the early 90s book, Don't Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me - a book I personally really loved at the time, as it was all about which beauty products were worth the hype and which ones weren’t... Anyway, I’ve put a selection of the Paula’s Choice skincare products to the test; Paula’s Choice Perfect Cleansing Oil* Paula’s Choice Resist Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid* Paula’s Choice Resist Daily Pore-Refining Treatment 2% BHA* Paula’s choice Resist 1% Retinol Booster* Let’s start with the Paula’s Choice Perfect Cleansing Oil . I absolutely love cleansing oils. Its my preferred type of makeup remover, and I always use one as my first cleanse. This one is made using a blend of plant oils, and massaging about two pumps into my skin, it quickly and easily dissolves and removes my makeup, including any long wearing makeup and waterproof eye m

PRODUCT REVIEW: PIXI RETINOL TONIC, JARVAL INFUSIONS SKIN BUTTER, ECO BY Sonya Driver EYE COMPOST AND SANTORINI HAIR BRUSH FROM BEAUTOPIA HAIR AND BEAUTY

A month has passed, and I am back with another amazing selection of products available from Beautopia Hair & Beauty  , a nd if you’ve not yet shopped them, then  you really must check out their website, as they stock so many cool brands within hair, skincare and makeup, and all at very affordable prices.  This month I’ve been putting the following to the test; Santorini Professional Hair Brush*  Pixi Beauty Retinol Tonic*  Jeval Infusions Argan Oil & Hemp Seed Skin Butter*  Eco by Sonya Driver Eye Compost*  Let’s start with the Santorini Professional Hair Brush . PRODUCT REVIEW: MEDIK8 RETINOL 10TR+ INTENSE, HYDR8 B5 INTENSE AND SURFACE RADIANCE CLEANSER

Image
As a beauty blogger I am very lucky to get to try a lot of different products, but once I’ve finished trialling something, there are brands that I keep reverting to again and again which for me are brands such as Medik8 - for the pure reason that their skincare products simply work so incredibly well for my ageing, pigmented, blemish prone skin.  I’ve put a few of their latest products to the test;  Medik8 Surface Radiance Cleanse* Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Intense* Medik8 Retinol 10TR+ Intense* Let’s start with the Medik8 Surface Radiance Cleanse , which has actually been around for some time, but I just haven’t tried until now, sadly, as from the very first use, I’ve been in love with it. This cleanser is a purifying daily wash, so it is perfect for my blemish prone skin. It contains a mix of AHA’s from mandelic and lactic acid to breakout down and exfoliate away the dead skin cells on the upper layers of the skin, while the BHA from the salicylic acid goes to work deeper down the pores to bre

PRODUCT REVIEW: AFFORDABLE YET HIGHLY EFFECTIVE COSMECEUTICAL SKINCARE FROM SKINSTITUT YOU MUST TRY

My skin has always been trouble some. Even today where I should be focusing on anti-ageing, warding off lines and wrinkles and reducing pigmentation, on top, I am forever battling hormonal breakouts. That can often be a tough cookie, as often anti-ageing products are simply too intense and rich for my combination skin. I am very fortunate that I often get to try out some incredible products, which I’ll forever be grateful for, but when a whole skincare regimen from Skinstitut landed on my desk, needless to say I got very excited. I have heard a lot of amazing things about Skinstitut, so I couldn’t wait to try all the products. Skinstitut is an Australian cosmeceutical skincare range using premium, potent and cutting edge cosmical grade ingredients based on proven blends of AHA’s, Retinoids, Vitamin C, Peptides, Antioxidants and SPF technology. And what I really love, is that the cruelty free company also believes that high-end skincare should be accessible to everyone, and consequently
