Image
If you regularly tune stop by my little blog or my instagram page, you’re probably well aware how addicted I am to using Retinol as I simply find it is the one ingredient that works wonders for both my ageing skin as well as my breakouts. But I have never actually tried a retinol eye cream, until Medik8’s latest launch, r-Retinoate Day & Night Eye Serum* landed on my desk.  In 2016, Medik8 introduced a new encapsulated vitamin A molecule to the market – retinyl retinoate, a hybrid of traditional retinol and clinical strength retinoic acid that’s 8 times more powerful than retinol, and now the r-Retinoate Day & Night Eye Serum is added to the range.  The r-Retinoate Day & Night Eye Serum contains the following key ingredients; Retinyl Retionate to stimulate collagen synthesis and supports the regeneration of skin cells  Hesperidin - to improve blood circulation and strengthen capillary walls for brighter under eyes  Caffeine - to revitalise and help reduce the size of blood

You guys probably know by now how much I love, or should I say, addicted to Vitamin products I am, when a bottle of the Medik8 Crystal Retinal 10* landed on my desk, I couldn’t wait to try. I have started from the ‘ground’ up, as you should with retinol, to get the skin used to it, and used all lower strengths of the Medik8 retinols, and let me say, they’re all incredible, regardless of the ‘level’ you’re at. All vitamin A needs to be converted to retinoid acid before it can take effect by the skin, and essentially, the fewer conversions the product need to make to reach that level, the more effective and the quicker it start working. It needs to go through these stages; Retinol → Retinaldehyde → Retinoic Acid That also means that Retinoic Acid has been clinically proven to work faster than retinol, at fo

As a beauty blogger I am very lucky to get to try a lot of different products, but once I’ve finished trialling something, there are brands that I keep reverting to again and again which for me are brands such as Medik8 - for the pure reason that their skincare products simply work so incredibly well for my ageing, pigmented, blemish prone skin.  I’ve put a few of their latest products to the test;  Medik8 Surface Radiance Cleanse* Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Intense* Medik8 Retinol 10TR+ Intense* Let’s start with the Medik8 Surface Radiance Cleanse , which has actually been around for some time, but I just haven’t tried until now, sadly, as from the very first use, I’ve been in love with it. This cleanser is a purifying daily wash, so it is perfect for my blemish prone skin. It contains a mix of AHA’s from mandelic and lactic acid to breakout down and exfoliate away the dead skin cells on the upper layers of the skin, while the BHA from the salicylic acid goes to work deeper down the pores to bre

I also love that the brand is always on the forefront with technology, and constantly is bring out new and more advanced products. For the last few months, I’ve put a selection of their newest to the test.. Medik8 Micellar Mousse  Medik8 Advanced Night Restore  Medik8 Advanced Night Eye Medik8 Liquid Peptides Medik8 White Balance Brightening Serum  Let’s start with the Medik8 Micellar Mousse . Most brands have a micellar water in the range, and I admit that I love them. They are so effective at removing makeup, and whilst not always required, I do love splashing water in my face after taking my makeup off. This Medik8 product is a little different as it is actually not a micellar water, well, it comes in a liquid form, but once pumped out, it is a mousse consistency, which I actually really like. It also mea
